Flirting with Fear

The genre of Horror stretches over a wide range of media. Extending over movies, music videos, dance routines, and books. This blog will focus on the glorious genre of Horror Fiction written into novels. Books have the ability to teach, entertain, amuse, and (my personal favorite) terrify. I will be profiling various books falling under this category. Most of them will involve murder, romance, God, the supernatural, and themes of savagery, hideousness, and outrage. Every Horror lover’s dream.

Book Trailers...A New Thing??

Why not, right?

So if you’re interested, here a few featured on my wish-to-read list, advertised through the fascinating world of visual entertainment.

Author Quotes

“Description begins in the writer’s imagination, but should finish in the reader’s.” - Stephen King, On Writing

“The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown” - H.P. Lovecraft, Supernatural Horror in Literature

“Searchers after horror haunt strange, far places.” - H.P. Lovecraft

"Things conceived by minds and made by hands can never be quite the same, even when they try their best to be identical, because we're never the same from day to day or even moment to moment."

- Stephen King, Bag of Bones

"'...Jurors love motives. So do people who read mystery novels and thrillers. Without a motive we feel cheated. The plot needs to make sense. We're addicted to explanations. But in the real world, some things don't have an easy explanation. Motives are never clear, never distinct, never exact.'"
